50% non-sprint distance, 25% sprint distance and 25% sprint count, each standardized against fixed opponent-gap scales from 83 paired games. Non-sprint distance = total minus sprint distance. Zero means balanced output; positive means more than the opponent. Weights and near-tie bands are conventions, not a validated fitness or team-strength model. Only games with readings for both teams count. Covered/played is shown; missing readings are not zero. More running is workload, not necessarily better football. Running/sprinting bands follow the provider; speed thresholds are not supplied.
What it tells you: Experimental physical-output comparison. Weighting changes rankings; this does not feed result forecasts.

Running-output index — experimental. Position change is relative to the current Premier League table.
Ranks use paired readings per covered game. Covered and Played show the sample; missing games are excluded, never zero. This is workload, not a result forecast.

How these tables work & more ideas
Filtered tables use points won on the pitch, with no allocation of league deductions. Opponent groups use today’s table, not their position when the match was played. Ties use PPM, goal difference per match, then goals per match; alphabetical order only arranges exact ties.
The Big Six are Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham. Form uses each club’s own completed games, not a shared gameweek.
P = games played; W/D/L = wins, draws and losses; GF/GA = goals for/against; GD = goal difference; PPM = points per match. xG measures chance quality before the shot; xGOT also considers where the shot goes. Missing values are not counted as zero.
